Prepare to embark on a journey of visual and literary wonder as Guilford's artists and poets come together to present "Our World in Words & Pictures." This eagerly anticipated group art show, held at the Broad Brook Community Center, will open its doors to the public on Friday, June 14th, and be on display until September 15th.

Join us at 6:30 pm on June 14th for the opening of our first Group Art Show and enjoy the chance to meet the artists and poets participating. This is an event not to be missed!

The theme of the art show, "Our World in Words & Pictures," invites attendees to explore the beauty found on our planet and in our daily lives, whether through breathtaking landscapes, captivating portraits, or thought-provoking abstract compositions. From the smallest details to the grandest vistas, each artwork and poem offers a unique perspective on the world we inhabit.

Featured visual artists include Erin Tkaczyk, Lesley Malouin, Rich Cianflone, Rachel Boettcher, Paula Marks, Evelyn McLean, and Steve Soszynski, whose works span a diverse range of mediums and styles.

In addition to the visual artworks, the show will also showcase the poetic talents of Guilford's wordsmiths. Poems by Andy Burrows, Verandah Porche, Bobbie Haumann, Patty Carpenter, Joslyn McIntyre, Richard Wizansky, Nichael Cramer, Marguerite Serkin, and Susan Bonthron will complement the visual narratives, weaving together a tapestry of imagery and imagination.
